Department of Forest Molecular Genetics and Biotechnology

The Department of Forest Molecular Genetics and Biotechnology specializes in the analysis of the diverse properties of trees from the perspectives of genetics, molecular biology, and physiological ecology. At the same time, we develop technologies for environmental protection making use of those properties, as well as technologies based on useful genes that contribute to the suppression of pollen production, such as sterility genes.
