Center for International Partnerships and Research on Climate Change

The Center for International Partnerships and Research on Climate Change serves as an office for international partnerships and research on climate change to observe forests in a holistic study. The Center conducts integrated research on forest ecosystems and climate change in collaboration with domestic and international forestry research institutions.Investigative and administrative tasks are directed toward countermeasures against climate change, which might include the formulation of international policies. The Center also promotes global and domestic partnerships in forest-related research, particularly in cooperation with the International Union of Forest Research Organizations (IUFRO); the secretary of the Japanese committee for IUFRO (IUFRO-J) distributes an electronic newsletter that demonstrates our vision for sustaining forests and people through research. The Center also assists researchers in arranging agreements with international forest organizations in cooperation with the Research Planning and Coordination Department.
