Commentary |
In the Tama Forest Science Garden, flocks of this species are seen in the Cherry Tree Preservation Forest from around November to March. Male are very conspicuous for their bright pink throats, but females have a pale grayish-brown throat. They feed on cherry tree flower buds and insects. |
