森林管理に関わる知識に対するフォレスターの認識についての国際比較調査（フォレスター調査）
International Comparative Survey of Foresters’ Perspectives on Knowledge in Forest Management（FORESTER SURVEY）

森林管理を地域において実践する現場では、フォレスターが持つ科学的な知識や経験的な知識の他、地域の人々が持つ知識や関心、政府の方針など様々な要素が考慮され、地域実態に即した森林管理が試みられています。本研究は、歴史的、社会的、文化的背景が異なる複数の国の間で共通のフォーマットを用いて、現場で森林管理を担うフォレスターが森林管理に関わる知識に対して持つ認識を把握し比較することで、森林管理における知識の特徴とその地域条件への適応状況、それらに影響を与える要因について検討することを目的としています。

In the field, where forest management is practiced in local communities, various factors are considered, including the scientific and experiential knowledge of foresters, the knowledge and interests of local people, and government policies, in an attempt to contextualize forest management in accordance with local conditions. This study aims to examine the state of knowledge and its contextualization in forest management, along with the influencing factors, by capturing and comparing the perspectives of field foresters on knowledge related to forest management in a common format across multiple countries with different historical, social, and cultural backgrounds.
